Above me, I see a bridge that was first established in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1872. Come 2001, the city put 4 million dollars into it to restore what we now know as the Purple People Bridge; a bridge just for us, where we can run, walk, and enjoy its view. Below me, I see hot cement with sweet symbols at my feet. And while I may not normally give cracks in the pavement a second look, for whatever reason, (maybe it was how my pedicure looked against it), I paid attention to it and I found beauty in this yellow paint against black tar. In front of me, I see a beautiful person whom I've called friend for 8 years now. Megan, is a gal who jumps at the chance to help me in more ways than one--one of them just so happens to be my blog, and we have so much fun in the process. So, start paying attention. Really look at things. Look up. Look down. Look right in front of you. Whether it's a small detail, a big monument, a dear friend or a stranger in front of you, find the beauty in these things. It makes a simple walk down the street a little more special. Photography above: My VSCO Cam For my outfit today I chose all things black; a Free People "Modern Mock Neck" top that I swooped up at the beloved Idlewild Woman located in Over-The-Rhine, paired with insanely ripped HM jeans and simple, black sandals.
