This is Taylor Romer. It's been almost a year since I first met her. From day one she encouraged me and taught me things. Maybe some of the things she taught me were "simple" at first; how to serve food and drinks at an expertise level, but as the friendship grew, she taught me much more than how to wait on tables. Romer, reminds me to live freely--to be myself. She has been a friend that reminds me of my beauty. It only makes sense that such a beautiful person sets out to make others feel beautiful, too. When working in the serving industry, your coworkers can remain just that--coworkers--or they can become people that see you at your best and your worst. Romer, has become a woman that I spend time with outside of work and every time we do, it's enjoyable. I seem to let things off my chest when I'm with her and she always gives me loving, graceful replies. Although we work at a pizza joint, you'd be surprised what can happen in a server alley. Laughs, tears, hugs, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Romer, has seen it all. We all have with one another. And while sometimes a serving position is very temporary, the people you meet within one, will stick with you forever. Even if you lose touch with them over the years, there's a bond there that will forever be close to your heart. Now, while Romer has become such a good friend of mine, I also seek to her for style inspiration/advice. She has a keen eye for design, all around. She dresses herself well and she also knows how to dress a wall. Romer, very recently taught herself how to weave and she immediately found a niche for her newfound talent. She has created numerous wall tapestries that are simply breathtaking. In this post, Romer insisted on wearing her beloved "mom jeans," as she calls these high-waisted pants, (I love that she incorporates trends of the past), a cropped top, and "Spice Girl" sandals. She is elegantly edgy with her dainty jewelry from Rock Salt Vintage and a vintage Casio watch, mixed with her eclectic tattoos--lavender sprigs and PIZZA! I love this lady and so does everyone that crosses her path. I can't wait to see what her creative mind and eyes do in years to come. American Apparel shirt and belt, H&M jeans, Forever 21 shoes, and her boyfriend's flannel to finish her laid-back look. Here is some of Romer's tapestry work, below. Amazing, right? Check out more of her stuff on Instagram and buy yourself (or a loved one) something pretty.

Taylor, I knew you were a very special and spectacular girl from day 1. You have brought such joy to our lives and memories that make me smile, laugh and yes sometimes cry. Playing golf, using onion rings for earrings for your pawpaw, making special recipes in the kitchen with me, dancing to Beauty and the Beast and Mary Poppins. Taking you to Disney World and coming home with a car loaded down with your souvenirs. There are so many more, I could go on and on. It doesn't surprise me that you are much loved by all.
